Relationships and Couples
Therapy for couples and relationships
The same argument, again. Distance where there used to be closeness. It doesn't have to stay this way.
Reasons couples come in
- Recurring conflict that never seems to resolve.
- Feeling disconnected, lonely, or like roommates.
- Breaches of trust.
- Big decisions you can't agree on.
- Wanting to strengthen a relationship that's mostly working.
How we work with it
We look at the cycle between you rather than deciding who is right. Often each partner is protecting something tender, and conflict is how that protection shows up.
Attachment-based and relational approaches help each person feel heard and understand what the other needs. Individual therapy for relationship concerns is also available.
Getting started
Sessions are offered by teletherapy anywhere in California, with in-person sessions available in San Diego. A free 15-minute phone consultation is the simplest first step.
