Anxiety
Therapy for anxiety
When your mind won't stop scanning for what could go wrong, rest starts to feel out of reach.
What anxiety can look like
- Racing thoughts, especially at night.
- Tension in the body that never quite lets go.
- Replaying conversations and worrying how you came across.
- Avoiding situations that once felt manageable.
- Feeling responsible for keeping everything and everyone okay.
How we work with it
Coping skills can help, and we use them. But anxiety often makes sense once we understand what it has been trying to protect. Together we look at the patterns, relationships, and early experiences that taught your system to stay on alert.
Depending on what fits, this may include psychodynamic and attachment-based work, EMDR, IFS (Internal Family Systems), or somatic approaches that help the body settle.
Getting started
Sessions are offered by teletherapy anywhere in California, with in-person sessions available in San Diego. A free 15-minute phone consultation is the simplest first step.
