Trauma
Therapy for trauma
What happened is over, yet your body and mind may still be bracing for it.
What trauma can look like
- Feeling on edge, easily startled, or always alert.
- Shutting down or feeling far away from yourself.
- Intrusive memories or nightmares.
- Difficulty trusting others.
- Patterns that repeat in relationships.
How we work with it
We go slowly and build stability first. You stay in charge of what we explore and when.
Approaches may include EMDR, somatic therapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and attachment-based work, chosen to fit you.
Getting started
Sessions are offered by teletherapy anywhere in California, with in-person sessions available in San Diego. A free 15-minute phone consultation is the simplest first step.
