Depression
Therapy for depression
Sometimes it is heaviness. Sometimes it is numbness. Often it is the quiet sense that life has lost its color.
What depression can feel like
- Low energy, even after rest.
- Losing interest in things that used to matter.
- A harsh inner voice that is hard to argue with.
- Pulling away from people you care about.
- Feeling stuck, helpless, or unsure what you want.
How we work with it
We take time to understand what the depression is carrying: grief that was never felt, needs that went unmet, or parts of you that learned to go quiet. As those come into view, there is often more room to feel, choose, and connect.
Our work draws on psychodynamic, relational, and attachment-based therapy, with EMDR, IFS, and somatic approaches when they fit.
If you are in crisis
Therapy is not an emergency service. If you are thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988, or call 911.
