Grief and Loss
Therapy for grief and loss
Grief doesn't follow a schedule, and it doesn't need to be fixed. It needs room.
What grief can look like
- Waves of sadness that arrive without warning.
- Numbness, or feeling oddly fine, then guilty for it.
- Trouble concentrating or sleeping.
- Loss that others don't recognize: a relationship, a pregnancy, a version of your life.
- Old losses resurfacing alongside a new one.
How we work with it
We don't rush grief toward closure. Therapy offers a steady place to feel what is there, make sense of the relationship you lost, and find ways to carry it forward.
Depending on what fits, this may include psychodynamic, attachment-based, EMDR, or somatic approaches.
Getting started
Sessions are offered by teletherapy anywhere in California, with in-person sessions available in San Diego. A free 15-minute phone consultation is the simplest first step.
