CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
An approach built on the links between thoughts, feelings, and actions.
What it is
CBT looks at how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another, and at patterns that keep a problem going. It is generally practical and structured.
It is one of the most studied forms of therapy, with strong research support for anxiety and depression. Trauma-Focused CBT is a structured version developed for children, teens, and their caregivers after trauma.
